Two drivers are recovering after a wrong-way crash on Florida State Road 826 early Monday in Miami Lakes.
The incident occurred at about 3 a.m. on SR 826 northbound between Northwest 154th Street and Miami Lakes Drive.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a white SUV was traveling the wrong way when it collided with a Mercedes sedan.
Two people who were in the Mercedes were taken to Aventura Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The vehicles were heavily damaged in the incident. Firefighters had to rescue some out of the vehicles.
About 10 first responder units, including air support, responded to the incident.
The scene was cleared and lanes reopened.
