Second Man Charged in Stabbing at Miami Metromover Station

A man has been arrested and charged after he allegedly stabbed someone for bumping into him as he walked down the stairs at a Miami Metromover station.

Barry Eugenee Alston, 57, is facing charges of first-degree aggravated battery with a deadly weapon in the Friday incident at the station near the Stephen P. Clark Government Center at 111 Northwest 1st Street, Miami-Dade police said Tuesday.

This stabbing happened at around the same time another person was stabbed at the 11th Street station, police said. Christopher Edward Coleman, 27, was arrested on charges including aggravated battery causing great bodily harm and carrying a concealed weapon.

Alston got into an argument and altercation with the victim, Miguel Columna, before the attack. Columna was stabbed in the neck and had his jugular vein cut.

Police said the two stabbings are unrelated.

Alston remains in Miami-Dade jail on $10,000 bond. Attorney information was not available.
