A former probation officer with the Florida Department of Corrections who had been charged with sexual battery has now seen those charges dropped.
50-year-old Zachary Thomas Bailey of Fort Lauderdale was arrested March on charges that he assaulted one of the parolees that he was in charge of. The woman claimed Bailey had prevented her from leaving and touched her genitals during one visit, while forcing himself on her and assaulting the victim during a second visit.
The victim recorded the incident on camera, which was turned over as evidence. Bailey was fired from FDOC after nearly 20 years working for the agency.
