Thieves Steal $100K in Watches From Car in Miami

Detectives are investigating after a pair of thieves were caught on camera stealing $100,000 worth of watches from a car in Miami.

Miami Police say the thieves stole the expensive watches from a 4-door Chevy Malibu that was parked at 3358 Southwest 3rd Avenue the evening of June 25.

The victims had purchased several watches from a local jewelry and watch show earlier in the day, leaving them in the back of the car when they went into a restaurant, police said. When they came back out to the car they discovered the watches and other personal items missing.

Surveillance footage showed the suspects drive up to the parked Malibu in a black Nissan Murano, and one suspect gets out and breaks into the car. The suspect loaded the stolen items into the Murano, which was driven by a second suspect, and the thieves fled the scene.

Police are asking anyone with information to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS.
