Universal Orlando has released new details on the Fast & Furious – Supercharged attraction, which will open in 2018 and promises explosive, adrenaline-fueled action.
"Fast & Furious is all about adrenaline and action-packed thrills. We’re taking all of those awe-inspiring experiences and creating the next chapter in this blockbuster franchise with an all-new theme park ride," Michael DoQui, Universal Creative's Senior Show Producer, wrote in a blog post. "We’ll immerse you directly into the storyline alongside your favorite characters and make you a part of the Fast family forever."
DoQui said details that will make Universal Orlando's attraction the "ultimate" Fast & Furious experience include new characters, a new story and supercharged cars – as the vehicles driven by the franchise characters will be displayed.
Another feature for the attraction is the introduction of a "Virtual Line," which allows attraction-goers to digitally stand in line for the ride through the Official Universal Orlando Resort Mobile App – essentially sidestepping what can be the most cumbersome task while at the theme park.
The attraction is scheduled to open spring 2018.
