Urban Flood Advisory For Miami, East-Central Miami-Dade

1-3 more inches of rain are possible, the National Weather Service said

An urban flood advisory is in effect for east-central Miami-Dade until 7:15 p.m., including Miami, South Miami, Key Biscayne, Kendall and Coral Gables, the National Weather Service said.

Between 1 and 2 inches of rain fell over urban areas of central Miami-Dade in just half an hour this afternoon.

Additional rainfall of 1 to 3 inches is possible in the area covered by the advisory, the weather service said.

It urged drivers not to drive their cars into areas where the water covers the road, as floodwaters are usually deeper than they appear.
