After months of campaigning, commercials, mudslinging and debating, the primaries are here.
It's election day and thousands of Floridans are expected to head to the polls to pick their Republican and Democratic nominee for the following seats: U.S. Senate, Governor, Attorney General, Congress, Florida Senate, Florida House, and County Commission.
So if you are heading to the polls today, here are some tips that will prove very helpful:
Polls are open from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m., but the lines are usually the longest from 7-9 a.m. and 5-7 p.m.
If you are in line by 7 p.m., you WILL be allowed to vote.
You must vote in your own precinct. You can locate your precinct by looking on your voter information card, or you can click on the link below.
There are 64 precincts in Broward County that have changed. If you were affected by those changes, you should have been notified by mail. And signs will be posted at all old locations.
