In the Clear: Ebola Patient's Contacts Near Milestone

After three tense weeks, four dozen people who had contact with Thomas Eric Duncan, the original Ebola patient in Dallas, will complete a 21-day watch period Monday with no sign any of them has contracted the virus, NBCNews.com reported. “We are so happy this is coming to an end, and we are so grateful that none of us has shown any sign of illness,” Louise Troh, Duncan’s fiancée, said on Sunday. Troh and three other people have been ordered by the government not to go out in public. The Ebola virus has a 21-day incubation period and when a case is confirmed health officials monitor anyone who had contact with that person for three weeks.
