Jennifer Hudson Talks Upcoming Tour With Robin Thicke

Jennifer Hudson is gearing up for her first major tour, which kicks off in just a few weeks.

The star, who released her self-titled debut album last year, will kick off her jaunt, co-headlining with Robin Thicke beginning March 31 in Albany, NY. And she told reporters she wanted a co-headlining trek because she's still a new musical artist.

"I'm in a weird place," Jennifer told reporters on a recent conference call, according to Billboard. "Like, ''Wow, everybody knows Jennifer, but where do you place her? Who do you put her with? Where do I go?' That was the hardest part of the puzzle to put together. I think we came out with a great solution."

Jennifer, now both an Oscar and Grammy winner, said she is thrilled to reach out to her fans on the upcoming tour.

"I'm excited to get out and meet the people and sing for the people," she said. "I always love to perform live. The only other tour I've been part of is the '[American] Idol' tour, so this'll be more intimate and personal."

According to KBS Radio in Canada, Jennifer is working hard on the look of the show.

"I'm going to start rehearsals this week, but I want to make sure we do have something visually, but to be seen and most importantly to be heard, that's most important to me," she said.

And there might even be a surprise collaboration on the trek.

"You can expect a variety of, of course, music from my album and then also maybe me and Robin will get out there and do something together," she said according to KBS.
