An FBI mole, who provided valuable intelligence on al Qaeda and met with Osama bin Laden eight years before the 9/11 attacks, was killed by al Qaeda operatives in Bosnia who suspected he was an informant, NBC News reported. The Sudan-born mole was also a driver and confidante to “Blind Sheikh” Omar Abdel-Rahman, who is in prison for allegedly orchestrating the 1993 terror attack plans on New York's World Trade Center. The informant was able to help squash a bin Laden-backed plot against a Masonic Lodge in L.A. in the mid-‘90s, according to an FBI agent's courtroom testimony. After switching over the CIA, he departed to Bosnia where al Qaeda operatives killed him, suspecting he was working for the agency.
