St. Louis Police Shoot Man Holding Knife, Release Video

Two St. Louis police officers shot and killed an armed suspect after he charged them while holding a knife, officials said in a statement issued early on Saturday, NBC News reported. In a statement, police said they responded to a call from a woman who asked that her son Thaddeus McCarroll, 23, be removed from her home. McCarroll had allegedly locked her out of the house and was holding a knife, according to the statement. After police fired a "less lethal round," McCarroll "charged the officers at a full run with the knife still in hand." Fearing for their safety, two officers shot the subject multiple times." Police posted what they said was body cam video of the Friday night shooting within hours of the incident. Officers in Missouri and around the country have been under intense pressure since the death of Michael Brown, an unarmed black teen who was shot and killed by cops in Ferguson, Missouri, on August 9, 2014.
