Former University of Miami tight end David Njoku has become one of the most talked about names leading up to April’s NFL Draft.
Njoku is being called a “freak” for his size, speed and pass catching ability. Some scouts have even pegged him as the “best athlete” available in the draft.
Only 20-years old, Njoku decided to forego his senior season in Coral Gables after posting 43 receptions for 698 yards and 8 touchdowns.
The talk of his status of a potential first round pick strengthened on Wednesday, as Njoku stood out as the best NFL prospect at Hurricanes’ Pro Day.
The NFL can expect "a hardworker and a very athletic tight end" Njoku said of his potential future in the league.
"We're trying to just show what we can do, and show how we can help a team in the near future," Njoku said following his Pro Day performance.
