"This isn't my first rodeo, and it definitely won't be my last," said the bushy brunette from New York.
We met up with L'Acqua -- a producuer, musician and newly-christened Global Music Director -- at W Fort Lauderdale, where he spun mixes from the posh hotel's new CD, Symmetry.
"The W started out with something you would absolutely predict," he said. "[Symmetry] is a good entree into the new direction of what the W is."
At 15 years in the biz, L'Acqua has produced for companies from Gucci to Old Navy to Revlon. He remains proudest, however, of his work on a tribute album to Nat King Cole that featured Nas, will.i.am, and Natalie Cole, among others.
"When you google Nat King Cole's name, my name pops up. That just blows my mind."
L'Acqua looks fondly on his resume and hopes to continually bring a variety of music front and center.
"The music scene down here is always hot in Miami," L'Acqua rhapsodized. "The best DJs come down here to really set the place on fire, so it never gets stale."
