First Lady Michelle Obama is getting some star power for help as she campaigns for her husband in Miami Thursday in a final push for votes before Election Day.

Obama thanked actress Gabrielle Union and singer Marc Anthony for the remarks they gave before she took the stage at the James L. Knight Center.

"Love you guys. Thank you for being here," she said.

Her Miami appearance is her third stop of the day in the Sunshine State, but the first lady was still energized.

“I have to say, this is my third stop today in Florida, and I am still fired up and ready to go! Because in just five days, five, we have the opportunity to re-elect, let me tell you, a decent, honest man," she said.

She highlighted 5.2 million new jobs created during her husband's administration and how he ended the war in Iraq. She told her audience that they should tell voters between now and Election Day, "Remind them that this was the president that took out Osama bin Laden."

She also made a point that might resonate particularly strongly in South Florida.

"Tell them about all the young immigrants who will never again have to live in fear of being deported from the only country that they have ever called home," she said.

Michelle Obama reiterated that it will be a close election, that everyone's vote counts, and told members of the crowd to spread the word about voting early.

A lot of progress has been made but there is much more work to do, she said as she wrapped up.

"Are you fired up and ready to go? Are you going to roll up your sleeves, five more days for four more years?” she asked.

She started the day in Jacksonville, where musician Stevie Wonder performed prior to her remarks. She also made a stop in Daytona Beach.

President Barack Obama is set to head back out on the campaign trail Thursday after spending Wednesday surveying the damage to the East Coast from Hurricane Sandy. He's expected to hold rallies in Wisconsin, Nevada and Colorado Thursday.

On Wednesday, former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney held an event at the University of Miami's BankUnited Center with Florida Sen. Marco Rubio, former Gov. Jeb Bush, and Congressman Connie Mack.

The Republican presidential nominee promoted his five-point economic plan, including boosting the economy through energy, more trade and better schools, putting the government on track to a balanced budget while creating jobs, and helping small businesses.

With 29 electoral votes up for grabs in Florida, the Sunshine State is a key swing state in the 2012 election.

Obama for America said Thursday that the president will hold a grassroots event Sunday at the McArthur High School football field in Hollywood, with doors opening at 12:30 p.m.

Tickets are available at OFA.BO/Hollywood, and on Friday beginning at 10 a.m. at three campaign offices: 2001 Tyler St. in Hollywood, 2104 N. Flamingo Rd. in Pembroke Pines, and 6750 Pembroke Road in Miramar.

In addition, former president Bill Clinton will rally Obama supporters at Palm Beach State College's Duncan Theatre, at 4200 Congress Ave. in Lake Worth, Friday morning. Doors open at 8 a.m. and tickets are not required, the campaign said.
