One person has been injured after part of a Hialeah apartment building collapsed Sunday afternoon.

The building, at 110 West 5th Street, has been deemed unsafe, according to Hialeah Fire Rescue Spokesman Cesar Espinoza.

The woman, 61-year-old Jauna Munoz, sustained lacerations to the head.

American Red Cross paramedics were responding to the scene.

It was unclear if residents would be able to remain in the building Sunday night.
