    A six-year-old boy was rushed to the hospital after he was struck by a car while riding a scooter Saturday afternoon, officials said.

    The young boy sustained serious injuries when he was hit in the 3300 block of Spanish Moss Terrace in Lauderhill, public information officer for Lauderhill Fire Jerry Gonzalez told NBC 6.

    The scooter was trapped under the car and the driver remained on the scene, Gonzalez said.

    Two teenage boys were shot in a drive-by shooting near NW 13th Avenue and NW 62nd Street in Liberty City Friday night, police and family members said. The two victims are in stable condition and their injuries do not appear to be life-threatening, Miami Police spokeswoman Kenia Reyes said.
