Detectives Searching for Suspect Who Shot Homeless Man in Head

Broward detectives are looking for the person who shot a homeless man in the head.

Darryl Keith Hardnett, 52, is in extremely critical condition after being shot once in the head at midnight on Sunday in West Park, according to the Broward Sheriff's Office.

Hardnett had been sitting on the patio of a house when he was shot. The homeowner, who rents rooms in his house for short periods of time, heard the shot and alerted authorities.

The victim was treated on scene and transported to Memorial Regional Hospital.
