Two Brazilian passengers aboard the Allure of the Seas cruise ship were arrested for lewd and lascivious battery after they lured a 15-year-old girl to one of their rooms, forced her to perform oral sex on them, and then forced her to have sex with them, the Broward Sheriff’s Office said.
The victim was at the teen club Fuel on the Royal Caribbean cruise ship at about 1:45 a.m. Tuesday when a 15-year-old boy told her he was having a party in his room, the Sheriff’s Office said.
She was led to believe that she would meet friends there and entered the room willingly, but she was confronted there by Luiz Scavone, 20, and found herself alone with him and the 15-year-old, the BSO said. She was led to the bed, where the two tried to remove her clothes, and the girl attempted to get up from the bed and told them she had a curfew, according to the BSO.
But the two suspects prevented her from leaving, removed her clothing and theirs, forced her to give them oral sex, and then forced her to have intercourse with both of them, according to the BSO.
The victim told them “no” several times and tried to leave but was not able to, the BSO said.
Royal Caribbean said in a statement that the incident was immediately reported to local authorities and the FBI, and that its “guest care team offered the female guest a variety of assistance, including medical care and counseling.”
The ship was met later Tuesday at Port Everglades by the BSO and by FBI agents, who conducted a full investigation onboard, Royal Caribbean said. Allure of the Seas departed Port Everglades on Christmas Day and ended its nine-day journey there Tuesday, the cruise line said.

Both Scavone and the 15-year-old boy, whose case is being handled as a juvenile, have been charged with lewd and lascivious battery, according to the BSO.
Scavone is being held at the Main Jail in downtown Fort Lauderdale, according to BSO records.
