Miramar Police have released a pair of photos of a car they hope will help solve the hit and run crash that killed a young boy last week.
The grainy photos show a white sedan that police are calling a "vehicle of interest" in the Jan. 9 crash that killed 6-year-old Deandre Binns, police said Monday.
Binns was crossing Miramar Parkway in the 6200 block when he was struck by a car around 8:30 p.m. Binns was thrown onto the car's hood and it swerved several times before he fell off and was run over, police said.
The driver fled the scene. Binns was taken to Joe DiMaggio Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Police said Monday that the driver or occupants of the car in the new photos may have information valuable to their investigation.
Anyone with information is asked to call Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS.
