Police are investigating a string of smash-and-grab burglaries at cell phone stores in Broward early Wednesday morning.
The first incident happened at the AT&T store at 12231 West Sunrise Boulevard in Plantation, just down the street from the Sawgrass Mills Mall.
Footage showed the front of the store severely damaged, with broken glass and debris. It's unknown whether anything was taken.
A second smash and grab happened at at the Team Wireless Unlimited store at 180 South University Drive in Pembroke Pines around 4:15 a.m., police said.
According to a police report, surveillance video showed the suspects smashing the front door with either a bat or metal stick.
Four suspects then went into and ransacked the business, taking an iPhone 5s, two Galaxy S4s and one Galaxy Grand, in addition to cell phone cases, the report said.
"In two minutes they take whatever they can," store owner Giorgio Negron said. "$3000 worth of accessories were stolen."
A third store, a T Mobile at 4900 University Drive in Davie, was also struck, a Davie Police spokesman said. The spokesman said the three crimes have the same pattern.
No other information was immediately known.
