Weather wise, the heat and humidity stick around for one more day before slightly more comfortable temperatures are forecasted to arrive in South Florida.
No. 1 - Florida Highway Patrol said a 2-year-old girl died and a 5-year-old girl remains hospitalized after a collision on Interstate 95 in Deerfield Beach on Sunday.
FHP said the two-car collision occurred at about 10:45 a.m. on the I-95 southbound lanes just north of Sample Road. Officials later identified the child who died as Akeena Bennett while her sister Keanna remains in the hospital.
No. 2 – Over one week after a deadly boat crash killed three people near Government cut, the family of one victim is in South Florida preparing to say goodbye to their beloved family member.
The three Munoz brothers arrived from Bogotá, Colombia to Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport on Saturday. Their sister, 28-year-old Jennifer Munoz, was killed after a boat she was riding on hit a jetty. Two other people were killed while one person remains in recovery.
