OAKLAND PARK - Officials say a masked man caught on surveillance video robbed the same 7-11 store in twice in one month, according to the Broward’s Sheriff’s Office.
“No one stopped to question him, no one says anything even though he’s wearing a bandana, covering his face,” said Gina Carter, Broward Sheriff's Office spokeswoman.
Authorities say the suspect walked into the store, located at 3800 N Andrews Avenue, and got away with cash after insinuating to the clerk that he had a gun.
During the interaction the clerk realized that the suspect was the same person who had come into the store a week before and pulled the same stunt.
But what would lead the suspect to rob the same store, twice?
"It could be a lot of things; one of the things it could mean is that he's local, he's within walking distance from that store, it's a possibility,” said Carter.
Authorities are lead to believe his a local since he ran away on foot and less than $150 bucks total for both crimes. The suspect is described as a white male, 30 to 35 years old, about 5’5”, and 170 pounds.

"I think a lot of times the robbers don't realize the small amount of money that is actually in the registers, many times they'll go in there and get less than a hundred dollars, other times they go in there and get nothing,” added Carter.
