The Miami Dolphins will bring their 0-5 record into a road game with the Buffalo Bills on Sunday.

Miami only lost by a point a week ago and had a chance to tie or win the game as the clock neared expiration. The Dolphins opted to go for two towards the end of regulation and that attempt failed. Prior to the one-point loss, Miami had been outscored 163-26 on the season.

Ryan Fitzpatrick was named as the starting quarterback for this game, after some solid results in last week's loss. The veteran spent four years with the Bills earlier in his career, which is the most time Fitzpatrick has spent with any NFL team thus far. During those four seasons, Fitzpatrick had a 20-33-0 record.

Switching from Josh Rosen to Fitzpatrick indicated an interest in wins, despite the appeal of a first overall draft pick. The Dolphins are competing with the winless Cincinnati Bengals and a couple of other squads for that pick. Even just one victory could derail that quest, but it appears head coach Brian Flores is looking to pick up a win regardless. Fitzpatrick will give the Dolphins a better chance of a win in this game, even if the chances remain slim.

Preston Williams has compiled the most receiving yards for Miami in 2019 with 232 on 17 receptions. The 22-year old has only found the end zone once thus far, but that is good for second best on the team. The Dolphins have three total receiving touchdowns through five games this year.

Frank Gore is not only a former member of the Dolphins, but he is also the NFL's leading rusher this season. Gore spent 2018 with Miami and is now chasing two historic marks. The veteran is only 79 yards shy of 19,000 and two touchdowns away from 100 in his career. Stopping Gore will be a tough task for Miami, as it continues to have the second worst run defense in the league.

Buffalo quarterback Josh Allen can dominate on the ground himself, when he isn't producing in the air. Allen has run into some trouble in terms of turnovers, which could potentially swing this game. The QB has been picked off seven times this season and has fumbled the ball five times. Buffalo will likely need to beat itself to lose this game and Miami would need to capitalize on each and every opportunity it gets.

Xavien Howard and Jakeem Grant are listed as questionable for Miami. Avery Moss, Daniel Kilgore and Reshad Jones have all been ruled out.

Sunday's kickoff in Buffalo is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
