Don't cry for Matthew James Peterson. He's done enough of that already.
The 29-year-old South Florida man was arrested Thursday and charged with armed robbery after he allegedly cried while jacking a shoe store, WPTV.com reports.
There might not be crying in baseball, but apparently it's OK in armed robberies. Last year, another remorseful robber tried to pull off a heist.
Earlier in the week, Peterson allegedly walked into a Payless shoe store in Port St. Lucie and begged the cashier to give him $100. During his emotional plea, the cashier said Peterson started crying and said he needed the money to pay a guy outside or he would be killed.
Peterson told the cashier he had a gun in his pocket, although he never showed it.
The shoe clerk handed over $85 and watched Peterson jump into a pretty noticeable getaway car - a two-tone Mercedes.
Police tracked Peterson's trail of tears to his house, where they found the Mercedes and a pair of latex gloves. The cashier later picked him out of a line up as the crying bandit.

Now Peterson is going to need more than a tissue for all that sorrow.
