Crews spent Monday morning cleaning up debris after a possible tornado touched down in Hialeah Sunday night.
Chopper footage showed uprooted trees and damage to backyards in at least one neighborhood, but officials said no injuries have been reported.
A tornado warning went into effect Sunday evening in northern Miami-Dade and Southern Broward Counties, and radar activity showed a possible tornado in the area of Miami Lakes, Miami Gardens and Opa-Locka.
The National Weather Service confirmed on Monday morning that a "high-end" EF-0 tornado did touch down. An EF-0 is the weakest on the tornado scale.
Officials said the tornado had winds approaching 85 mph and had a path of about 1/2 a miles and a width of about 100 yards.

At one point, the winds were so intense, they toppled over a truck.

"We ducked down and then it passed really fast, like in about five minutes," said Natalie Valle, a local resident. "My backyard is a little destroyed. And when I looked up, the trees were gone and down on my car."
"We just heard like a roaring sound and then it just went away," said Pam Haregree, another local resident.
Hialeah Fire Rescue said Palmetto Hospital lost power for a short time. It has since been restored.

City of Hialeah crews were seen assessing the situation and clearing roads. Police were also seen blocking roads that were considered unsafe.
There was a separate 49 mph wind gust reported at North Perry Airport in Pembroke Pines, but it’s unclear if that was a tornado or wind event.
The tornado warning lasted 15 minutes.

But the event had some lasting effects, especially on those traveling. Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport reported 163 flight delays and five cancellations due to inclement weather. As a reminder, always check with your airline prior to traveling for the latest on flight in formation.
Showers and storms will come to an end overnight as an area of developing low pressure tracks right over the Florida peninsula.
After the last dose of rainfall in the early hours Monday, clearing skies will commence, bringing some needed sunshine to the area.
Cooler than average temperatures will be the rule, too, as northwest winds draw down fresh air from the north.
For Monday, expect morning lows in the middle 50s and afternoon highs climbing into the upper 60s with bright skies in the afternoon.
Tuesday will start off much the same with clear skies and lows in the lower 50s. By afternoon, highs will rebound into the lower 70s.
The next chance for rain will hold off until Friday, with slightly warmer temperatures expected late-week.
