A major accident snarled southbound traffic on US-1 at Southwest 168th Street/Richmond Drive Thursday morning.
Aerial footage overhead showed the mangled wreckage of a barely recognizable vehicle. According to Florida Highway Patrol, the crash involved three cars. They say one car hit a concrete wall. The driver of that car was taken to Kendall Regional Hospital in serious condition.
The conditions of the other drivers involved in the crash are not immediately known.
FHP has not yet determined what caused the crash.
Motorists are advised to use alternate routes.
