A 72-year-old school crossing guard was struck by a car in Sunrise Thursday morning.
The incident happened around 8:25 a.m. in the area of Northwest 44th Street and 94th Avenue, Sunrise Police said.
The crossing guard suffered a head injury and was taken to Broward General Medical Center where he was in stable condition, officials said.
Police said the driver of the car stayed at the scene and charges are pending. It's unknown what caused the accident.
