Four Armed Robberies in Miami Beach Overnight: Police

Police say four armed robberies occurred Thursday overnight in South Beach.

Miami Beach Police say three of the robberies were committed by a pair of Hispanic men. The thieves confronted victims on the street, displaying a handgun, and robbed them of their purses and cell phones before fleeing.

The men were apprehended by patrol authorities at 17th Street and Alton Road around 2:40 a.m.

The suspects were identified as Henry Rodriguez, 19, and Jose Suero, 18.

According to officers, the car, gun and evidence of all three robberies were recovered, with personal property returned to the victims.

The suspects were charged with armed robbery. It's unknown if they've hired attorneys. 

A fourth, unrelated, robbery occurred at 3rd Street and Meridian avenue. The robbery involved two suspects who robbed and assaulted the victims on the street. The victims were treated at Mt. Sinai for non-life threatening injuries.
