A man is facing charges after police say he shot another man in Fort Lauderdale.
Erik Cass, 31, faces charges of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon, Fort Lauderdale Police said. Cass was being held on $12,500 bond Tuesday and it was unknown if he has an attorney.
Police say the shooting happened after two men were involved in verbal disturbance in the 900 block of W. Commercial Boulevard.
Cass pulled out a gun and shot the other man, who was hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries, police said.
