Man's Body Found Inside Car Trunk in NW Miami-Dade

Police have launched a death investigation after a man's body was found inside the trunk of a vehicle Tuesday in northwest Miami-Dade.

Officers responded to a call of a foul odor and flies around a vehicle at around 2:20 p.m. in the 9100 block of NW 22nd Avenue, according to the Miami-Dade Police Department.

Authorities found a man's body inside the trunk and were unable to identify him due to the body's condition, police said.

But family members said the man inside the trunk was Richard Lindsay, a father of four.

"That's my brother," said Jason Lindsay. "I miss him, I love him."

Richard Lindsay described his brother as a calm man who also had a bad habit of gambling.

He said he had not seen his brother for several days but did not report him missing.

Investigators waiting for positive identification of the body.
