Opening Arguments in Wade Restaurant Trial Today

Wade accused of breaking agreement with restaurant partners

After a brief delay, Dwyane Wade's civil lawsuit trial is expected to get underway this afternoon.

D-Wade's former business partners are suing the Miami Heat superstar for $25 million after a deal to have Wade's name attached to the eateries fell through. The plaintiff's claim Wade backed out of the agreement, which led to the quick demise of the restaurants.

For the past few days, attorneys have haggled over the right mix for the six-person jury. On Thursday, they had to replace one juror who planned to go to summer school, which would have interrupted the trial.

Despite the delay, Wade seemed upbeat after leaving the courtroom on Thursday, decked out in a gray and pink suit with sneakers. Yes, sneakers.

We have spotters on the look out to see what Flash will be wearing in front of the jury today.

Many of the jurors who were interviewed for the jury made it known they loved D-Wade, which promptly got them ejected from the jury pool. One dude yelled Wade was the best basketball player in the world, which is accurate, but doesn't quite pass the unbiased smell test.

Those dismissed should count themselves lucky.

Who would want to be known as part of the jury whose ruling upset D-Wade so much he packed up and left town?

No pressure.
