Stormy Weekend in South Florida

NBC Universal, Inc.

The expected wet weather pattern for the weekend has become established, with no signs of letting up into next week.

Overnight showers and storms will remain scattered, nearly equal to the afternoon possibilities.

Most of the downpours will come in waves with their swift movement not allowing any storms to linger in one place too long.

While Sunday morning and mid-day look wet overall, a break in the activity is possible for Sunday afternoonand evening.

This should allow for a moment of sunshine and drier weather to end the weekend, similar to Saturday.

Despite the higher rain chances and increased cloud cover, highs are still expected to reach the lower 90s over the next several days.

In the tropics, development is not anticipated well into next week.
