Tracy Morgan said he is feeling "strong" as he addressed the public for the first time since his car crash last month.
Morgan, 45, flashed a peace sign and smile as he hobbled into a black SUV parked outside his Cresskill, New Jersey, home on Monday.
"I'm OK, I feel strong," he told the press camped outside his house. "Love you, thank you very much. Appreciate it."
The former "SNL" and "30 Rock" star suffered a broken leg and cracked ribs when a Wal-Mart truck crashed into his Mercedes-Benz limousine on the New Jersey Turnpike on June 7. The crash killed Morgan's friend and fellow comedian, 62-year-old James McNair, and injured two other passengers.
The driver of the Wal-Mart truck, Kevin Roper, had logged over 13 hours behind the wheel and was speeding by going 65 mph in a 45 mph zone, according to a preliminary report from the National Transportation Safety Board.
A criminal complaint alleges that Roper hadn't slept for more than 24 hours before the accident, which would violate New Jersey law.

Roper has pleaded not guilty to charges of vehicular homicide and assault by auto.
Morgan filed a lawsuit last week against Wal-Mart, accusing the retailer of negligence in connection with the crash.
