A Miami man is facing a sexual battery of a minor charge after police say he was caught having sex with a 16-year-old girl in Plantation.
Gary Glanville, 30, was arrested on Oct. 10 after an officer spotted him with the high school student, Plantation Police said Tuesday.
Glanville was booked into jail and later released on $5,000 bond. It was unknown if he has an attorney.
According to police, Glanville admitted to meeting the girl through an Internet chatroom and said it was the first time they met in person.
He was found with the girl in the parking lot of an industrial building on Northwest 18th Court, down the street from Plantation High School where the girl is a student, police said.
When detectives searched his cell phone, they found "provocative photographs of what appeared to be underage women" and videos of Glanville having sex with what appeared to be underage women, police said.
Glanville meets underage women on the Internet and promises then gifts in an attempt to have sex with them, police said.
