South Florida Man Gives Condoms Love Handles

Sensis Condoms revolutionize how you "Get It On" before "Getting It On"

"Do you all have a second? I'm an inventor," says Beau Thompson to a couple at Sandbar in Coconut Grove.

Sounds innocent enough, until Thompson continues, "I invented a condom with handles."

That's right, the Coconut Grove native is the CEO of Sensis Condoms. And he has no shame demonstrating his innovative idea to random people in South Florida. No, not like that -- he uses a funny looking home-made device that the condom covers.

So how exactly did Thompson dream up this plan to help men "get it on, quicker." He says it all started one "rough night" in the late 90's.

"The lights were out and I couldn't figure out how to put it on," Thompson admitted. "And by the time I did, I lost my mojo. So I thought, 'there has to be a better way.'"

That "better way" came to Thompson at the most unexpected time. He was taking out the trash one day and saw the handles on the bag and said, "that's it!"

It took a while, but Thompson developed a prototype and then hit the streets to sell his idea to the masses.

"What if you could put it on the right way every single time and never have to look at it?" Thompson asks men.

Most of them he says, answer with a resounding, "Yes!"

Sensis condoms are sold at select stores all across the country including Walgreens, his biggest customer. So far, he's sold two million condoms.

"If you can make putting on a condom a mindless act, that's what it should be," Thompson says. "It shouldn't interfere with the act you really want to get to."
