The grand opening of a Hallandale Beach electronics repair shop was spoiled after the owner said a sports utility vehicle slammed into his store hours later.
The crash happened just after 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the Pronto Fix on Hallandale Beach Blvd. and Southeast 4th Avenue. Authorities told store owner Ceasar Estevez that the SUV's driver crashed after trying to make a left turn from across the street.
"She got scared, panicked, I'm not really sure, and she went right through that," Estevez told NBC 6 South Florida.

The car broke the store's glass doors and hit an interior wall that leads into the rear office. Pronto Fix was littered with debris and costly electronics.
"At least $30,000 in electronics --at least-- but what can we do?" Estevez said.

He told NBC 6 South Florida that had the store been open at the time, employees and customers would have certainly been in the car's path.
"We are always with customers and helping them out, and we're always sitting on this couch," he said. "We would have been here, it would have been a lot worse," he said.
