It was a big night for "The Help" at the 18th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards, starting with Octavia Spencer's win for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role. In an emotional speech, she thanked all the women who came before her. She won a similar award at the Golden Globes, where she also wore a Tadashi Shoji gown.
Spencer's co-star Viola Davis, dressed in Marchesa, later took the award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actress in a Lead Role.

Just minutes later, the entire cast of "The Help" — among them Emma Stone — won Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture, giving the movie a clean sweep for every category in which it was nominated. Stone invoked the '60s spirit of the movie with her bouncy Alexander McQueen dress.
Sofia Vergara looked glamorous as ever in her scarlet Marchesa dress. Later, she joined the cast of ABC's "Modern Family" onstage to pick up their prize for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy.
Her fellow "Modern Family" star Julie Bowen wore a raspberry-colored gown by Temperley London.

Christopher Plummer won the prize for Outstanding Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role, presented by Michelle Williams, for his role as a gay man coming out very late in life in "Beginners." He won a similar award at the Golden Globes a few weeks earlier.
Williams, nominated for an award for her turn as Marilyn Monroe in "My Life with Marilyn," stopped the Marilyn impersonation at the red carpet. Instead, she dazzled in a lacy red Valentino dress and no jewelry.

Another of Williams' fellow nominees for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role: "Iron Lady" — and awards season perennial — Meryl Streep. She finished off her slate blue Vivienne Westwood outfit with a deep leather belt.
During the ceremony, everyone's favorite senior citizen Betty White won the statuette for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Comedy Series for her work in "Hot in Cleveland."
Alec Baldwin of NBC's "30 Rock" won the nod for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Comedy Series for the sixth year in a row.

Dujardin beat out George Clooney, nominated for "The Descendants." He attended the show with girlfriend Stacy Keibler.

Clooney's on-screen "Descendants" daughter Shailene Woodley picked a L'Wren Scott dress with hand-embroidered bead and sequin details on its flowers.
Clooney's buddy Brad Pitt was also nominated in the same category for "Moneyball." He didn't win, but who could look better with Angelina Jolie?
Mary Tyler Moore won the Life Achievement award after the audience watched a darling montage of her career narrated by Dick Van Dyke. We hope it shows up on YouTube!
Steve Buscemi won the award for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a drama series for "Boardwalk Empire," which also won Best Series.

Jessica Lange, here with nominee Tilda Swinton, won Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series for her role in "American Horror Story." She won the same award at the Golden Globes a few weeks ago.
On the red carpet, "Bridesmaids" star Kristen Wiig had the fashion press gushing about her cream Balenciaga dress, but the jury was out on the dark choker.
Melissa McCarthy, co-star of "Bridesmaids," chose a midnight blue Badgley Mischka gown, similar to the green dress by the same designer that she wore to the "Golden Gobes."
Bryan Cranston of "Breaking Bad" posed with Jessica Chastain, wearing Calvin Klein Collection, of "The Help."
Glenn Close, who was up for an award for her work in "Albert Nobbs," looked regal in an elegant black gown by Zac Posen.
Natalie Portman, last year's belle of the red carpet season, was a presenter instead this year, having just come back to work after having a baby. She looked lovely in this Giambattista Valli gown.
Jayma Mays of "Glee," which was nominated for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy, looked lovely in a sparkling black Reem Acra gown.
Maria Menounos of "Extra" went with basic black Dolce & Gabbana — but looked anything but basic.
Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick, one of the longest-standing couples in Hollywood, looked happy together on the red carpet and as presenters. Sedgwick was also nominated for Female Actor in a Drama Series for "The Closer."
EMPTY_CAPTION"Glee" star Lea Michele loves herself a red carpet, and the SAGs were no exception. Here she strutted in a pale blue Versace dress with quite a slit.
But Michele's "Glee" co-star Dianna Agron skipped dramatic touches for flirty ones with her softly ruffled magenta gown.
EMPTY_CAPTION"Damages" star Rose Byrne, sporting a sleek new haircut, wore a white Elie Saab jumpsuit and said she was going for a 1970s vibe.
Julianna Margulies, radiant in a Calvin Klein gown, was nominated individually for an award for her starring role in the TV drama "The Good Wife" — as was the rest of the show's cast.

Diane Lane, dressed in a one-shoulder David Meister satin gown, didn't pick up the award for which she was nominated for her work in "Cinema Verite" — but she did collect a kiss from husband Josh Brolin.
