An arrest report said the victim entered the parking lot of Chavez Supermarket, located at 151 Opa-locka Blvd, and noticed Sierra-Hernandez.
The victim then waved at Sierra-Hernandez and asked him if he could take a picture with him, the report said.
As Sierra-Hernandez approached the victim, the report said, he took out a firearm, placed it on the victim's chest and told him to give up his car.
Sierra-Hernandez then left the victim's vehicle, pointed the gun at him again and told him to get into the driver's side, the report said. He also asked the victim to give him money, which the victim said he didn't have on him.
Since the victim didn't have any cash, the report said, Sierra-Hernandez gave him his phone number and told him to Zelle him the money. The victim couldn't send him the money because he didn't have Zelle.
At one point, the victim was forced to drive to several locations over two hours and was eventually let go unharmed in the area of 270 SW 11th Avenue, the report said.
Deputies said that surveillance video from the supermarket captured Sierra-Hernandez pulling a gun on the victim, getting into his car and forcing him to get into the driver's side.
A flyer was then created and distributed throughout Miami-Dade County.
Deputies, the report said, eventually found Sierra-Hernandez, who had a gray and black gun, and was taken into custody.
Before his arrest, Sierra-Hernandez was scheduled to appear in court at 9 a.m. Wednesday under threat of imprisonment if he missed it because he did not show up for his hearing on Tuesday
The hearing was going to address his bond for previous burglary and murder charges. Since Sierra-Hernandez missed his hearing, a judge denied him bond on those charges.
He refused to appear in bond court Wednesday afternoon and will go before a judge on Thursday.
In an exclusive interview with NBC6's sister station Telemundo 51, Sierra-Hernandez said he wants to be calm and fix his life so that police would leave him alone.
This is not the first time the 34-year-old Sierra-Hernandez has been in trouble with the law.
In May, prosecutors filed charges against him for allegedly promoting a murder-for-hire plot to kill an inmate charged in the 2024 murder of singer El Taiger in Miami.
He also faced a domestic violence battery charge in January after police said he left his girlfriend bruised during a fight.
In 2024, Sierra-Hernandez was arrested on sexual battery, armed kidnapping, battery and grand theft charges, records showed.
This is a developing story.
