Celebrate World Cocktail Day (or any day, really) with some classic cocktail recipes.

Directions: Shake Cointreau, brandy, and lemon juice vigorously. Place sugar on a plate. Wet the glass rim and place on the plate. Strain the liquor into the glass.

Directions: Place sugar in a shallow dish. Dip rim of chilled glass into sugar to coat rim. Put ice into a shaker, then pour in the gin and lime juice. Shake well and pour into prepared glass.

Directions: Muddle lime and sugar in the bottom of a glass or cocktail shaker. Add cachaca and about 1 cup of crushed ice. Shake vigorously. Garnish with a lime wedge and serve with a straw.
