Officials are assessing a sinkhole that opened up in a Florida neighborhood over the weekend.
The sinkhole swallowed part of the street on Eldridge Road in Spring Hill Saturday, WFLA reported.
The hole measured about 40 yards wide and 30 feet deep and forced the evacuation of several nearby homes.
On Sunday, everyone was allowed to return to their homes except one family which lives closest to the hole and saw part of their driveway sink.
Hernando County officials have hired a contractor to assess the sinkhole and try to come up with a solution.
