Thieves Stole $6,400 Worth of Seafood From Rustic Inn: BSO

    Authorities are looking for a pair of thieves who stole more an $6,400 worth of seafood from a Dania Beach restaurant. The theft happened back on July 5 at the Rustic Inn at 4311 Ravenswood Boulevard when the two men entered the restaurant around 4:20 a.m. and used a wrench and fishhook to open the locked kitchen freezers, the Broward Sheriff's Office said Monday.

    Authorities are looking for a pair of thieves who stole more an $6,400 worth of seafood from a Dania Beach restaurant.

    The theft happened back on July 5 at the Rustic Inn at 4311 Ravenswood Boulevard when the two men entered the restaurant around 4:20 a.m. and used a wrench and fishhook to open the locked kitchen freezers, the Broward Sheriff's Office said Monday.

    The burglars grabbed $6435 worth of expensive seafood, including 200 pounds of Maine lobster, 100 pounds of blue crab, 40 pounds of crab meat, 100 pounds of Dungeness crab, 100 pounds of grouper and 100 pounds of snapper.

    Surveillance footage showed the men struggling to carry a cooler at the dock of the restaurant.

    Both men, who appear to be in their 20s, were heavily tattooed, the BSO said.
