One teenager is dead and another person injured in an early morning shooting outside a Downtown Miami night club.

Police are still searching for suspects after the shooting which happened shortly after 2 a.m. outside Club 56 at NW 7th Ave. and 54th St.

Some witnesses said it was a drive-by shooting, though police wouldn't confirm how the barrage started.

The two men shot were taken to the Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital.

The 19-year-old, identified by family as Zachary Moore, died a short time after being admitted to the hospital.

His mother, who awaited word on her son at the hospital, was inconsolable after hearing the news of his death.

She said she'd told her son to stay away from the club, though it's unsure if he had been in the club before the shooting or what if any role the club played in the shooting.

The other victim, a 20-year-old male, is still in the hospital in unknown condition.

Police are still investigating at the scene.
